2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

The European sales launch of the 2012 Maserarti GranTurismo MC Stradale is just around the corner, due early in the first quarter of 2011, and with it, we have its European pricing: 154,721 euros. The U.S. launch is due shortly after Europe's, and though we can't know for sure, we may extrapolate a rough idea of what it'll cost this side of the Atlantic.

The heart of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is a 4.7-liter V8 engine that sends 450 hp and 510 Nm of torque to the rear wheel. In comparison to the GranTurismo S, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale has 10 hp and 20 Nm of torque more. Although it doesn't seem much, the party piece is in its weight. The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is 110 kg lighter than the S which result and improved performance numbers. The car weighs a total of 1770kg. The top speed of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is rated at over 300 km/h. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.6 seconds.

Inspired by the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the race-winning GT4 motorsport models, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale special edition has been tweaked and modified as a direct result of the lessons learned from Maserati’s three racing programs. But what makes this vehicle even better is that it’s road legal.

Press Release

The new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will be the fastest, lightest and most powerful car in the Maserati range when it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2011.

Inspired by the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the race-winning GT4 motorsport models, the two-seater Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale that will debut at the Paris Auto Show will feature razor-sharp handling and will break the 300km/h barrier.

The GranTurismo MC Stradale responds to demands for a GranTurismo which can balance on-road driving needs with race-driving desires, incorporating the handling and aerodynamic lessons from Maserati’s three racing programs.

The GranTurismo MC Stradale produces more aerodynamic down force without producing more aerodynamic drag, it produces more power – 336kw, 450 hp – without using more fuel and it is more agile without sacrificing the GranTurismo S’s highly praised ride quality.
